How do I sell my story?
The easiest way to sell your story is to call us now for a preliminary and confidential chat about it on our hotline number 0845 609 0118. You can also fill in the form on our website and we will respond as soon as possible. Click here for more information on selling your story.
How much money will I get for my story?
The value of stories varies considerably. Some are worth £100 while others can be worth tens of thousands of pounds. A front page story is worth much more than a story further back in a newspaper or magazine, for instance. You will be informed how much you will be paid before the story is published and a written confirmation of the fee sent to you.
Can I remain anonymous?
It really depends what the story is about. If the story is not about you and you are simply selling information about something that has happened, then the answer is yes. If the whole thrust of the story is about yourself, then it would be virtually impossible to tell the story without identifying you. The story may require you to be photographed to illustrate it and the majority of people who contact us are happy for that to happen. If you are in any doubt about this issue please call us and ask for clarification.
How do I know if my photo is worth anything?
Call our hotline number (01603 765188) and we will instantly tell you if your photograph can be sold. We will ask to see the photograph, which can be sent to us by email, to make a full assessment. You can find out more information by clicking here to visit our sell photo website
If I send you my picture how do I know it won't be published without my permission?
The legal copyright of any photograph is owned by the person who took the picture. It would be illegal for anyone to publish the photograph without the permission of the copyright holder, unless there were exceptional reasons for doing so. On some occasions, to protect and safeguard you, we may ask you to assign the copyright to us for a set period. This is because our copyright is known throughout the media industry and makes it less likely the picture will be published without permission.
Why should I not contact a newspaper, tv company or magazine direct?
The simple answer is that you will make more money by selling your story or picture through us. We will work out a strategy to maximize earnings from the photograph or story. You will get the highest possible fee from us because we test the market for you across a range of publications to assess who is prepared to pay the most for your picture.
There are reporters on my door step and telephoning me. What should I do?
Contact us immediately and we can give you advice. It is unwise to reveal any information until you have a professional representing your interests.
My name has already been mentioned in a newspaper, magazine or TV broadcast?
Many people who have already been named in the media feel that their story has not been fairly or fully told. We can set up exclusive interviews and issue statements to the media to help correct and clarify situations. This can also prove an excellent opportunity for selling a story.
